@@JEK I don’t over shoot and it gets all the corners in one shot. I have gone back and fine tuned my original layout to get better coverage. Yes, one zone and it’s all covered. When it’s super hot I do run and edge zone to compensate for the extra heat from the nearby concrete.

I definitely loved my Aibo but ultimately sold him to a loving home. Sony support was horrible and I was tired of shipping him back and forth to LA for repairs. They even sent him back to me with a broken ear, even though he didn’t go to in for a broken ear. Sony finally sent me a brand new Aibo and transferred Bolt into the new one. That’s when I decided to sell him. I rescued a puppy last year and in no way does an Aibo feel like a real pet even though it is a fun robot to be around. Sony doesn’t do much for the U.S. market and there’s no extended warranty that covers everything. If you end up getting an Aibo, purchase it on a credit card like Amex which doubles the manufacturer’s warranty.

@@steevthetech 2 in front, and 2 in backyard. They don’t cover everything because of shapes of my property plus there are also narrow spaces, I hand water those areas. But OtOs have been a huge help for sure.

How much coffee you use is up to you. For your first batch, they suggest filling it to slightly above the lower "notch" that you'll find printed on the outside of the metal filter. Taste-test a batch at that strength, and then adjust the next batch as necessary.

Yep! Use it every spring and summer. Just got them out of winter mode and they’re charging up in the sun. Still raining weekly here so don’t need them yet. :)

Not necessarily, I’ve been using OtO for two seasons and it has exceeded my expectations. Sprinklers waste too much water as it is and OtO saves me $ with reducing water and fertilizer cost since OtO fertilizers the lawn automatically.

Gotta dial in those espresso settings and try different beans.

It depends on many factors like the plants you have in the unit, light duration, room temp, etc. Just keep an eye on the visual water level at the base and adapt to your plants needs.

No long term review. I retuned my TK-02 and my search for a super automatic continues.

@@steevthetechI haven’t unboxed my TK-02 since I’ve been watching your reviews. My return window is tomorrow 2/18/24. With that said, knowing you returned yours I think I’m doing the same now. I now have my eye in the breville barista touch impress…. Any thoughts on that machine and what was the deciding factor for you to return the TK-02?

@LucasGrail between the very loud clicks during operation, plastic off gassing smell, extremely large amounts of water being used DAILY, recipes that are backwards, cumbersome milk prep and tube clean up I figured it wasn’t worth it. I was throwing out filtered water daily because the drip tray was full. And that was the short list. It looks nice, a little long though, but it really needs some UI polishing and better communication from TK re: issues and updates. Their OTA updates should have happened at launch. Not three months later.

I really think the design is cool but the reasons you listed just aren’t what I want to deal with everyday. Hopefully they see your experiences and make it better in the next version.

​@@LucasGrail Many people who buy these machines don't know how a super automatic works... For one, these machines will never be able to produce a shot as good as the quality you get from a manual espresso machine with a 58mm portafilter.. #2. These machines rinse quite often and are very messy.. #3 Lots of moving internal parts #4 The steam and froth milk will never get above 120 degrees especially milk drinks with a lot of foam like a cappuccino. #5 Some super automatics are better than others.. You are paying for convenience and not quality. #6 These machines need a lot of maintenance.. Just ask any Starbucks employee and they will tell you that the super autos in Starbucks require lots of care and upkeep.. #7. The expensive $2700 to $3300 super autos do make far better drinks than the cheaper $700 to $1000 machines.. Just go with the Breville Barista Touch Impress.. The shots are more intense but not 100% better than a super auto costing the same.. The Touch has a lot of plastic on it as well and its a cross between an advance manual machine and a semi auto..

I was tired of cold drinks, emptying the drip tray daily, cannot find the water filter, and that frothing process and tubing became a pain to deal with.

You can set up a brew in the morning via the app and it will not do a pre-rinse. I would reach out to TK if that doesn't work as they just pushed a firmware update to the machines and a software update to the app.

They’re aware of the issue. Hope they send out a software update.

I paid my final bill on 11/19/23 and it arrived 1/6/24. If you ordered a black machine, it might take a little bit longer, because the first pallet of machines they received were white.

Pre-ordered mine 12/22, paid invoice 12/23, receiving mine this Wednesday 1/24/24.

The dial is a milk knob. If you toggle it up, you get hotter milk and if you toggle it down you get frothier milk.

I noticed a lot of those things too. I’m hoping a software update will change some of the settings. My milk dispenser works fine at the levels I’ve programmed.

​​@@steevthetechCan you test setting milk to 10oz for a latte and then filling the container to 10oz and seeing if it uses it all. I filled mine to 10oz and after the drink was made the container still had a little over 5oz left in it.

@@bryceheltzel3923 no, just that one time and I’ve refilled it twice already with no issues. It’s a tight seal and I believe I didn’t push it in all the way in the first time.

Came here with the same question re drip coffee. Thought it was strange the largest setting was 8 oz. I have been brewing twice at 6 oz like you said and it’s great. Really happy with the machine so far after 3 days .
